A beat tape turned electronica experiment, San Marcos Sessions is Yesif’s debut into instrumental hip hop and sample flips. Yesif (Joseph R. Strom) is an electronic producer and songwriter who focuses on sonic textures and unique uses for sampled audio. On San Marcos Sessions this focus is especially clear, with sampled audio from YouTubers, old video games, and found sound libraries, warped and stretched into pulsing virtual synths and slapping drum patterns. This album will release everywhere on 4/20.
